Reservation Fee:
- At Mosaic, we believe each guest who walks through our door is worth more than a labeled price, so we offer the Den with no fixed rental fee. This means that you decide what it’s worth to you.
- That being said, donations for use of the space are encouraged and accepted.
o Donations are accepted in house via cash, check or credit card.
- Note: comparable meeting space rents for between $30–$50 per hour.
Facility Availability
- For a group to be placed on the Den’s calendar, a request should be made no later than the Friday before the desired date.
- Reservations can be made by filling out the information at the bottom of this form.
- Advanced notice does not guarantee availability.
- We will usually respond within 2 business days to all reservation requests.
- Mosaic reserves the right to permit or refuse use of the Den.
- Due to the size of Mosaic and the Den, reservation of the Den is preferred for groups larger than 8. Smaller groups are encouraged to use the main room.
- If you are considering use of the Den for a long period of time (over 2 hours), we ask you be aware this precludes other groups from using the space, which limits the groups Mosaic may host, which limits the donations Mosaic may receive. Though no set fee is required, please keep this in mind.
- Mosaic is an all-ages community coffee house and, as such, the consumption and/or serving of alcoholic beverages is not allowed on the premises.
- All events must end by the specified time and must not exceed our posted closing time out of respect to our volunteers and staff.
Set-up and Clean-up
- Because the Den is a community space, it is your responsibility to help keep it clean and organized for following groups. Please replace tables and chairs to their original locations. A floorplan map is located next to the door and the Mosaic staff is available to let you know where furniture belongs if you need assistance.
- Tables and chairs from Mosaic’s main room may not be transported to the Den at anytime.
- If your group requires extra tables and/or chairs, please let us know at the time of reservation and we’ll work to get you the furniture you need.
- Outside food is permitted but discouraged. Please help Mosaic by recognizing the loss of in-house financial support when outside food is brought in. If outside food is necessary, please be aware that this limits the donations Mosaic may receive from participants within your group.
Cancellation Policy
- Event cancellations are permitted with no penalty; please contact Mosaic as soon as possible if you need to cancel your reservation (theden@mosaiccoffeehouse.org 206.567.3293).
- “No shows” are highly discouraged. Even if you have to cancel due to a last-minute emergency, please inform Mosaic. Groups who continually fail to show up for their events may lose their privilege to reserve the Den.

Mosaic’s Den is a separate room within Mosaic, a community coffee house which businesses and civic groups in our community can utilize for meeting space. We are pleased to be able to offer this private and quiet meeting space for our communities business and civic groups. The Den is approximately 500 square feet and features a large conference table with 8 chairs, a living room set, and small table settings.
